For Super-administrator and administrator/PI only.

Through ADMIN> Manage > Advanced Permissions, super-administrator can manage users’ permissions:

  • Basic selection corresponding to actual LabCollector users’ permissions.
  • Advanced selection: super-administrator defines PI for each group and PI can define specific user’s permissions.

BASIC SELECTION

  • Setup

Basic selection opens two tabs for super-administrator:

1/ Add Book/Project Rules, where super-administrator selects if staff and user can create new book.
By default, administrators can create books. Do Save once the choice is done.

2/ [All Books] Tab Access, allowing super-administrator to configure access to All Books.
For the administrators, you can select if they can all read and write all books (ON), only some of them (check in the list) or any of them (OFF).
For staffs and users, select if they all have VIEW access to all book (ON) or not (OFF).
Do Save once the choice is done for each section.

LabCollector Group rules are dominant here. If administrator, staff or user are in a restrain group (see KB-Group Policies), they will be able to see books of their group members and those from Full access users under My Collaboration tree tab.

ADVANCED SELECTION

Advanced selection allows super-administrator defining PI for each group, and permissions for all users.

For full access members and per group (choose in the select list), super-administrator can define administrator PI.
Those PI will be able to access to Advanced permission setup as the super-administrator for the other lab members of their group.

Per user, permissions are:
All: All permissions
C/EW: user can create and edit workflow
C/ET: user can create and edit template
ANB: user can add new books
VAB: user can view all books
