Client area allows you to have a lot of options for downloading add-ons, ordering other services like support and upgrades, dashboard access, support for creating tickets for issues, access to storage accessories, and access to newsletter services.

1. Connecting to the client area

  • You can access the client area by click on this link:-  labcollector.com 
  • You need to click on the sign-in option on the right-hand top corner.

  • A new window will open where 2 options will be possible:-

    Option 1: If you already have an account on labcollector.com and have credentials (even for the old system), use this login and password to connect to the Client Area.

    Option 2: if you don’t have an account, click on REGISTER and fill in the form.

 

2. Dashboard

 

  • Once you either sign in or register, you will be connected to LabCollector’s client area.

  • You will be able to see the dashboard where you can find direct links to the
    A. Active Services – here you can add several online instances if you have various labs and want to keep your data separate for each lab.
    B. E-training – This option helps you to get trained for the LabCollector usage and features from experts handling LabCollector from several years.
    C. Newsletters – This option will keep you updated on the new features, new versions of LabCollector, modules, and add-ons.
    D. Support assistance – This part will take you to the ticket center to raise and issue and our support team will help with it. It also gives access to the knowledgebase and manuals                                                for LabCollector.
    E. Accessories – Our storage lab accessories website contains all the right barcode scanners, cables, printers, and various other things compatible with LabCollector.
    F. LabCollector – This will take you to the LabCollector official website where you can find detailed information about all the LabCollector modules, add-ons, and other services.
    G. RSS direct – it will provide you with live news from LabCollector
    H. Administrative menu – This helps you to navigate to your client area account, building teams, Billing, and credentials.
                                                  – complete or change your account information (address, email,…)
                                                  – create your team (see below)
                                                  – soon you will be able to access your invoices.
                                                  – change your login and password
    I. General menu – it gives you access to your services, downloads, support and storage accessories, and newsletter Archive.
    J. What can I do? – The options will help you with either downloading or creating an online instance.

  • From the “I. Administrative menu” you can go to the “team” option. 

  • If you need several people to be able to access the client area of your lab, you can add colleagues as team members in doing so you will make it easier for AgileBio staff to provide support to your colleagues as they will be associated with your account.

    – You can add them as a user or admin.
    * An admin can add services. A user can only search among services.
    – Just fill in the form and click on Add.

  • The new member will appear in your list of members. The status will remain as “Waiting” until the person has accepted the email request.
    You also have the option to delete members.

  • You can also see the contact information of your agent.

3. Downloads

  • To install LabCollector on your computer or server, download the OS-dependent version.
  • You also have access to the list of add-ons for the self-hosted and online versions, and to utilities (e.g. Zebra Network Bridge, AgileBio Scan server).
  • Once you have downloaded LabCollector, you can create your service (see below).

4. My services (obtaining service and licenses)

NOTE: If you already have an online instance, it should appear in your services. If that is not the case, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • 1. You can contact AgileBio team for any queries that you have.
  • 2. You can request a quote for add-ons or any other extra services that you require.
  • 3. This option takes you to the download option from the general menu where you can download any add-on, utility, mobile that you want.
  • 4. This option allows you to create a new service for yourself. This means that you can download and host LabCollector “On-premise that is self-hosted” or “online”.
    – When you click on it you will see this page:-

    A. Self-hosted:

    – When you click on “Self-Hosted” option, you will see the form below.

    – Here you need to add the Instance name. This means when you open LabCollector, the URL which you see is the instance name.
    – The instance name will come after the URL: http://labcollector.online/

    – It is recommended that you put your institution name/acronym first, followed by the name of your instance. For example, an instance named “mylab” would have the URL http://labcollector.online/institutionName_mylab.
    – Additional information on the options that you want to test for example, will be sent to your agent.
    – Once you create your service its status is REQUESTED until our staff create your online instance in demo version. You can request a quote by following the link in step 2.

    B. LabCollector Online:

    – When you click on “LabCollector online” option, you will see the form below.

    – Fill the name of your instance that will come after the URL: http://labcollector.online/ or http://us. labcollector.online/ depending on the server location (France or US). If your institution is in US or Canada, choose US server, for all others country choose France server.
    – It is recommended that you put your institution name/acronym first, followed by the name of your instance. For example, an instance named “mylab” would have the URL http://labcollector.online/institutionName_mylab.
    – Additional information on the options that you want to test for example, will be sent to your agent.
    – Once you create your service its status is REQUESTED until our staff create your online instance in demo version. You can request a quote by following the link in step 2.
    – Once LabCollector has been purchased, you can request a full license using the green key icon (see above). You can also request to test out one or more Add-ons (our staff will install them for you), and if you’re happy with the product, as for LabCollector, you can choose to obtain an active license.

  • 5. Once you click on submit, your service is created, and you can see it in the My Service” area.
    – Generally, when you install LabCollector for the first time, it comes in a demo mode which is available for 30 days. 
    – Once you want to purchase the license you can request a perpetual license using the key icon that opens the form below. 
    *You can now also renew your license if you have paid the annual fee for Support and Upgrades.

  • 6. The same way as above add-ons can also be added to your self-hosted service and you can request perpetual licenses for them like above.
    *You can now also renew your license if you have paid the annual fee for Support and Upgrades.

  • 7. These options allow you to have various possibilities.
    : Download the particular add-on.
    : Update license

    : To request a perpetual license.
